oho Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 The FFBs works really great with DCS. I can only recommend it. You feel the stabilization when you hit trim and then it stays where it is. Great immersion. The only thing is, that I can't leave the stick alone. After a few second the stick moves to center and then back again and this is repeated. Will this be adressed or does someone have a solution for that? I tried with deadzones but no fun.
Boulund Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I'd first like to tell you that I haven't got a clue about anything in this matter. =) Then I'd like to guess that if you cover the small dead-mans optical sensor with tape it might make it better? One of the biggest issues to understand with the G940 with Black Shark is in order to achieve the correct trimmer stick response you have to put a piece of tape over the optical dead-man switch or the joystick will not hold the trimmed position when you let go of it. This is not a big deal, and in other games you'll find that you'll need to take the tape off. As an example in Rise of Flight, the bumps on the ground are felt through the stick on landing. It's a great effect, but if you let go of the stick with the tape still on, the stick will continue to buck it's way across your desk. oho Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 thanks, that's a good hint, will try it ASAP
Lava Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Yep try taping over the sensor, it's the upper hole on the right side of the stick, just above a screw-hole.
Lava Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Twoarms, in my wholly subjective opinion, it's great, slight software problems aside. Read any of the dozen G940 threads in this forum to form your own :)
