In case you guys didn't already know its possible to assign key(combination's) to the X52's mode selector knob.

To do this open the profile editor, at the top of each column in there is a box in which you can program a key stroke.

Right click that one and select New Macro

Now program it to your liking as you are used to

 

Note that if you do NOT program it as an macro the key stroke will endlessly repeat itself which likely will cause problems

You can also use the Clutch button as a normal button.

Simply do the following;

Open the Control Panel and go to Game Controllers (make sure to have your stick connected properly)

Select your stick and select properties

Now go to the MFD tab, in the lower right corner UNCHECK the

"Latched Clutch Button" check box and then the "Enable Clutch Mode" check box

Please note that this will have effect on ALL profiles used

Then there is the mini mouse, you can also use it as an 4-way hat switch and here is how;

 

Right click on the Mouse X or Y axis and select bands, the edit bands

Make 3 bands, one from 0 to 46% the next from 46 to 54% and the last from 54 to 100% Press ok to safe the changes

You can now program the bands as a normal button.

 

I didn't program the 46 to 54% band to add a small dead zone,

i did this cause i was experiencing problems from time to time that

the stick didn't center well causing continuous key

presses from the assigned function, the dead zone fixed this.

Some users may also experience problems whit there MFD, it might stop working in game or it even refuses to work at all,

the attached batch file restarts the service responsible for sending messages to the MFD

 

unpack and copy to some place convenient, right click and select run as administrator

 

NOTE; ALWAYS SCAN DOWNLOADS FROM UNTRUSTED SOURCES FOR VIRUSES TWO TIMES, ONE TIME WHEN ITS

PACKED/COMPRESSED AND ONE TIME WHEN IT IS UNPACKED/UNCOMPRESSED

Im glad you guys like it, i also posted this in the 159th forum and there people reminded me of the possibility to use the mini mouse as an 4-way hat switch.
