I'm running into a problem where the collective is "sticking" in game. When I pull back on my throttle slowly the collective won't start moving until I get about half way... then it will snap up quickly. I also have the problem where I'm lowering it and only lower about half way, but the game will slide the collective all the way down after a second or so of sitting at half with out me moving the throttle.

I had this with my old X45 and thought it was because that throttle was spiking which I could see in control panels as well. But I'm now getting it on my brand new G940 and this one is not spiking. If I go into Axis tune in the controls configuration I can see smooth travel through out the full range.

I did go in and remove all axis mappings from game mode last night to verify I was pulling the correct config (I run simulation mode). Once in game the collective still worked with the throttle but I didn't have enough time to fully test after that.

Anybody else encounter this or have a solution?

I'll try that tonight but I have recallibrated via the g940 properties page already. Also I would expect wierdness in the axis tune screen if that was the problem.

I had this problem myself a couple of days ago. I was starting up my bird and as soon as I moved throttle to auto my bird took off. As I am a verry picky person I couldnt just end the game so I did manage to land by lowering throttle to idle and then emergency land the bird.

I calibrated the collective and poked around a bit and the problem was gonne. I still can see that the collective in the chopper does exactly what you say. First it does not move untill I increase my G940 collective about halfway then it jumps to the middle but it does not make any problems on the game itself, the collective power still moves but the collective in the heli does not untill halfway. Don't remember having this problem before with my X52 but then I could have missed it.

I have a similar (but not quite the same) issue with my Saitek Cyborg, where weird things sometimes happen with the collective. Sometimes the collective will start at 50% the second I've touched it, and then stay up there behaving erratically. Moving the collective through it's full travel solves that issue - checked if it does so for your problem? Basically it seems like the simulator (or the signals from the stick, hard to say for sure) get confused about what it's range is.

I'm not all that annoyed by my issue though, since checking control travel is a mandatory start-up item. But it did cause me a lot of issues until I figured out what was happening.

For missions that start in the air I just ensure that I've moved all controls through their full travel before hitting pause/break to start the mission.

The thing in my case is that I always move collective, rudders, cyclic before starting up my bird so this was not the problem. The collective was stuck on 50% and the animation bugg or what it is is just the animation in my case, not stuck on 50% throttle anymore :)
