markbond Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I haev noticed recently that if I hold down the /?, key to slew the optical tracker to the right after a few seconds it appears to make the chopper drift to the left. I then have to re trim it back to center. This does not happen with the right, up or down slews. I also do not have the move to target button pressed. This is very annoying as it messes things up as I am lining up on a target. Any ideas? I have attached a track file optical tracker problem.trk Thanks

I have attached a track file Thanks Watched the Track: You established a Hover, Ground-Stabilized the Tracking Gate and then slewed the Tracking Gate to the Left and Right with no problem whatsoever........ You then Locked the Helo on the Apron, Slewed to the left and when you slewed to the Right again, your Cyclic Input was to the Left, causing your Helo to drift to the left. Conclusion - Your Input caused the drift. Keep the Cyclic steady as you did the first time you slewed the TG to the left and right and all will be well. As an aside, someone else might confirm by having regard to your Track, but you are aware that your Options are still set to Game Flight Mode and Game Avionics Mode, Right? If so, fine. Was just wondering as the ease whereby you established the Hover gave it away :) Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! markbond Posted November 14, 2009 Author Posted November 14, 2009 I didn't look at the cockpit cyclic stick myself but I definately did not enter left cyclic via my joystick. I do not think I was even touching the stick at the time. Could it be that the ?/ key, when held down is interpreted as a lefy cyclic input? Will try it again but I am pretty sure I am not entering left cyclic via my joystick. Thanks for looking at the track. Mark
markbond Posted November 14, 2009 Author Posted November 14, 2009 I just had a look at the track myself and you are right. The sim is reporting left cyclic input. However, I did not input is myself via the stick. I took control of the track and pressed /? again. When holding this button for more than about 2-3 seconds I get a clear left cyclic input. The virtual stick clearly moved to the left even though I did not have my hands on the stick. Why could this be? Thanks Mark
159th_Viper Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Navigate to your SP GUI/Options/Control screen and delete all Keyboard Button Commands pertaining to your Cyclic Input. Found here: Controls/Ka-50 Real/Ins Cyclic Stick Controls/Game/Controls That way there can be no possible Input clash between your Axis as set for the Flightstick and possible conflicts with Keyboard commands. markbond Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 mapped the joystick hat button to the optical slew and no problems now.
