bobd Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I'm having a problem getting zone commands to work. Don't know if I'm overlooking something, or bug. Anyone else having trouble? Thanks for any help. win7 64 Asus ROG Z390, I9 9900K , 32 GB DDR4, EVGA GTX 2080 Ti , Win10 64, Rift CV1 & S VR
ericinexile Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 No trouble for me except with the mini-stick (the most frustrating and useless feature of the g940). Smokin' Hole My DCS wish list: Su25, Su30, Mi24, AH1, F/A-18C, Afghanistan ...and frankly, the flight sim world should stop at 1995.
bobd Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 Thanks, I found the problem. I have to use apply persistant profile. :( Asus ROG Z390, I9 9900K , 32 GB DDR4, EVGA GTX 2080 Ti , Win10 64, Rift CV1 & S VR
Pilotasso Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 The mini stick works good if you set wide bands (only 25% of area for a command and 50% of dead center) .
Logitech_Mark Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 The Mini-stick should be cycled through its full X and Y range any time your system has been powered down. The internal firmware captures the ranges as part of a basic auto calibration routine. With version 5.08 software, we added manual calibration to improve the accuracy. Once the mini stick calibration is done in the game controller setup, you do not need to recalibrate. That data is stored on the PC. Flight System G940 Product Manager Logitech
Pilotasso Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 (edited) We would like the see new versions of the software be advertised instead of the 5.08 . :) Idea: I personaly woud like to see adjustable X and Y axis return to center tensions independently, and their "slop". I can reduce the "slop" accessing the "game controllers" window by alt-tabing the SIM and then return to if after pressing OK, wich is a bit needless. Edited November 19, 2009 by Pilotasso .

Unfortunately, We can't comment on possible future products or software. I will include the request those additions to the centering spring function (independent of the game's imputs). As mentioned before, the "slop" can be completely eliminated by sim developers. We are working with developers to enhance force feedback now. The capabilities of the force feedback have yet to be fully explored by any sim. Flight System G940 Product Manager Logitech

I believe and understand what you're saying; but just remember that this statement is only valid for FFB games. For EVERY non-FFB game (including BS in non-FFB mode--which is the way I have resorted to play it), slop will persist unless Logitech does something about it. Or is it Logitech's intent that this HOTAS is only targeted for best use with FFB games specifically programmed for it? If so, that's a pretty narrow target. Edited November 19, 2009 by ddahlstrom
