photonic Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Hi, I purchased Black Shark some time ago and have been playing happily until recently. My computer packed it in and I lost everything. I have had to buy a new one and have had to re-download DCS BS again. I have installed it and the patch successfully but now it is asking for an activation key. Because I could not deactivate now I don't know what to do. Do I need a new activation code? Can some one please help me? Regards, John
joey45 Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 You need to re-active it with the same key you used last time.... You will lose and activation though. Do not take my word for it cos I might be wrong.... The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. EtherealN Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 If you purchased it through digitalcombatsimulator.com, log into that website with the account you used to purchase the product, click "Files", then "Products", and you should see something like the below: The blacked out part is your serial number. To check the status of your serial number you can go to this adress: http://proactive.star-force.com/2.0/activate.php Enter your serial number in the Serial Number field and click the "Serial Number Parameters" link. photonic Posted December 28, 2009 Author Posted December 28, 2009 Reactivation Thanks Guys, I'm back on track. By the way is there any way to get that activation back since I could not deactivate?
EtherealN Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 No, incidents like that is the specific reason why DCS comes with 8 actvations and 10 deactivations rather than 1 activation and 10 deactivations. If you eventually run out of them completely you can contact ED and request a "refill", which will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
