I have a Saitek Cyborg EVO joystick. I'm just asking if anyone have some tips and ideas, to optimiza curves buttons.

I can offer only this primitive, editable button layout. Unfortunately it's not svg (editable by Inkscape) - it's OpenOffice.org Draw file.

What do you mean optimize curves? I have also Cyborg Evo.

He probably means just curves settings. You have to be aware that you should avoid curvature and deadzones as no curvature and no deadzones is how it should be played not only in DCS. Lesson learned - curvature and deadzones are needed because we have crappy joysticks. Thus you should set deadzone and curvature as small as possible - just as high as allows you to comfortably control your aircraft. To give you a starting point for my moderately weared Saitek AV8R my settings were - dedzone: 5% or 0%, curvature: ~15%, IIRC.

These settings are mine:

I use them and IMHO they allow you to fly smoother, much more.

I forgot - if you use rudder twist the rudder axis should have the highest curvature and, especialy!, deadzone. Accidental rudder inputs while operating X and Y axis will render pointing unguided weapons reticle at a target almost impossible. Smaller deadzone combined with higher curvature will give you a smoother transition between deadzone and active input range.

Saturation - all it does is limiting usable range of your joystick. Obviously I don't recommend that unless your joystick mechanism has some problems during contact between joystick pole and range limiter.

Are those pictures from DCS? Haven't seen that before.

Yeah, it's mostly curves. But also a bit optimal button placement of functions...

No, they are from Mario.

You have to browse game and manuals too :)

zakobi, if you haven't then it means you really have to read the GUI manual!

dcs-bs_gui_manual_eng.pdf is in your game folder somewhere.

I asked because it happens that i don't have DCS :smilewink:
