EtherealN Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Launch as administrator, or install outside of the Program Files folder. Also, which Radeon card is it that you have? There's about 5 billion different ones. :P A DxDiag output would help getting a complete picture. iaylmer1 Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 I am using a Radeon X1550 HD 772i. Old I know, its on my list of things to replace. I am in the sim now after I turned off the catalyst AI, now it seems fine apart from the fact I am in a window! How do I get to display full screen? This is important, I find it hard to enjoy in a window. I would gladly give you a DXDiag if I knew how, care to share? Thanks Ian
EtherealN Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Sorry, forgot to post the link: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=44466 Though if the problem is fixed it won't be necessary. To get into fullscreen, open launcher.exe through your single-player link (just clicking the exe within the filestructure doesn't work, since they need to have a different run-in directory that's set by the shortcut), select Options, click System and under the graphics you'll have a tickbox for fullscreen. iaylmer1 Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 I found the tick box, what a relief. This seems quite complex. The accelerated start up sequence is enough. Is this written down somewhere? Thanks for your advice so far. Ian

iaylmer1 Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 Thank you for that, most useful. On the start up screen/ menu, there should be an image of the helicopter with a circle of buttons with headers. I do not have the headers or image, just a circle of buttons. Any ideas what has happened here? I have up graded to the 1.0.1c by the way, although it was doing this before I upgraded as well. Thanks
159th_Viper Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Re-Install your Video Drivers. If you're running ATI, Disable Catalyst A.I. and see if that helps. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=47622 Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? EtherealN Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Aye, if you are using an ATI card (in 95% of cases that that issue crops up, it's ATI) disabling Catalyst AI is usually enough to fix the issue. If you are using an ATI Raden x1900 or x1950, it will probably not be enough to just disable the Cat AI as you might also have to rollback to an older driver - 8.12 is the last one with full OpenGL support for those cards. iaylmer1 Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 Thanks again for the info. I have installed Catalyst 8.12, and no change. Any other ideas at all??? Thanks
EtherealN Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Did you remember to also shut off Catalyst AI? If that doesn't help we are probably back to wanting to look at a DxDiag output.
