fred99 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Anyone else is having this small issue with indoor and outdoor sounds? It looks like the Pause game function is causing a problem with sounds of F1 and F2 views, at least on my system. When loading a campaign, before pressing the Pause key to start playing, I can hear the sound like if I was using the "F2" view. To fix it, I just need to hit F2, then go back to F1 view and I can now listen to "inside the cockpit with door closed" sounds. Same thing happens if, during a mission, I hit the Pause game key and then Unpause it, if the current view is inside the cockpit, I will hear the sound like if I am watching from the F2 view. Not sure if it is clear.. I only wanted to report this issue! I am running Windows 7 64-bits and dcs:bs-1.0.1c. I can provide dxdiag log if needed. Thanks! -fred
Feuerfalke Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Yes, it's been reported numerous of times. Seems to be a problem with Vista/Win7 and the sound-engine. Apparently there is no definite fix for it. Boberro Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 (edited) I have similar symptoms on my XP. Anyway it is the worst sound implementation in game I have ever met. Edited January 13, 2010 by Boberro Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
