thaFunkster Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Hi, I have made yet another video, I am actually quite proud of this one so I hope you all like it. Its about, me an SU-33 and a rock. Apparently, people used to do this back in the Flanker 2.0 days, but this is the first time I have done it: owGK_kMrm6k 2 Funk on YouTube!
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 (edited) Nice...... never seen film of anyone doing it backwards before! For those folks wanting a crack at it themselves and wondering about the location of the Rock with the Hole, it is waypoint 40 on my Crimea Tour (link below). Crimea Tour http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=145&lid=63&ttitle=Crimea_Tour_by_Brit_Radar_Dude#dldetails ...and here it is in real life Edited January 22, 2010 by Brit_Radar_Dude [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
thaFunkster Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 Haha, thanks. Well, I guess location isnt classified anymore :P Funk on YouTube!
Aeroscout Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 (edited) Ohh Funk! I'm taking this as a challenge! Expect a video response in a bit! EDIT! ! Seriously though Funk, I would probably dismissed this as impossible in the fast jets before I had seen it done. Aero Edited January 23, 2010 by Aeroscout 1 DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
thaFunkster Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 Yeah, I thought the same. But the way it was placed I figured meant that it would be possible. Damn scary trying to do it though... @BridRadarDude: Wow, it exists in real life huh? Thats cool as, I had no idea.... Now I want a video of a real SU27 going through... Funk on YouTube!
Vekkinho Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 (edited) ^^^^ IIRC there was a vid of Su-29 doing that! Edit: I just tried looking for it in Youtube but no luck, I had a video tape with that and lots of other airborne stunts 15-20 years ago and I always wondered where such rock exised. When I bought Flanker sim I found out! Edited January 24, 2010 by Vekkinho [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
thaFunkster Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 OMG, I cant believe anyone would do anything so risky IRL...Wow! Funk on YouTube!
The Flying Goose Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I have to give you credit its not too easy. So, I tried myself (i dont know if successful) The Result: As you can see the tail didnt get off well...:pilotfly:I'm not sure how the gear got extended, probably when pressing B accidentally pressed G as well. Anyways, thats the best I could do, just glad I didn't crash and burn like I had been doing:); Nice Video:thumbup::thumbup: Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz, Sapphire 5870, TM Warthog, 4 GB RAM, Windows 7
thaFunkster Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 Nice one Goose, that's a pass in my book. Even if you are on fire, as long as you are not in the sea, and the plane is in one peice, then you have done well. I actually didnt use the brake, cause I found it made the aircraft A LOT less maneaverable.. Funk on YouTube!
