ZyLoG Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Hi I changed in two weeks the graphics card (from gf8800gt to gtx285) and the cpu (from quad6600 to quad9550) and now the starforce says: "This product requires activation. Enter your Serial Number and press "Next". Internet connection is required." i write my serial, but... "Unable to launch the application due to integrity fault of the Activation Key. Re-enter a valid Activation Key or re-activate the application. If the error recurs, press "Error report" and send the report to product technical support."... i sent the error report. The problem comes when i changed the cpu. with the graphics it works without problem... I went to starforce website and i've tried to reactivate, doing a new code... nothing but losing an activation...   I have the DVD, not downloadable version. What can I do? Thank you very much.
ZyLoG Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Ok... i went to http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Troubleshooting:starforce:5.x#Recover_a_lost_serial_number Delete the following key in Windows registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics\Black Shark\Keys It will completely reset the BS activation records in your Windows installation including the current one; but it doesn't do anything with serial number activations number stored on the server. It works, but, as i wrote, i lost TWO activations, not one.
hitman Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 you saying that the dvd has limited activatios too?
Boulund Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 you saying that the dvd has limited activatios too? Sure it does. It is essentially the same as buying download and burning it to a DVD by yourself. No difference in activation what so ever. ZyLoG Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 and anyone knows where can i claim for my lost activation? thanks
EtherealN Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 You cannot claim for your lost activation. Please read your Quick-Start guide. What you can do is that you can contact ED via e-mail or this forum when you run out. The fact that accidents happen is the reason why you have 8 activations and 10 deactivations instead of 1 activation and 10 deactivations. If you come to a place sometime down the line where you are rendered unable to use the product, that is the time to ask for a refill. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
