Nate--IRL-- Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 "Memory: 1024MB RAM" may be the problem, however 10mins still seems way too long. Try exiting as many processes in the windows task manager as possible. This will free up as much memory space as possible for BS to run. Also try reducing the graphics settings to Low, specifically textures to low. This will make BS use less memory. If the problem still persists after these measures, then Memory may not be the primary cause of this. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
horizon555 Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 Nate Had BS running fine before HD format, well as fine as it could be with my comp specs, will be upgrading as soon as i can.
ScEBlack1 Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Memory: 1024MB RAM Right there I believe is the main problem.

Hmm ok, so the hardware is the same. Have you got all your device drivers updated for your new install of windows? Might be an idea to check your drive for errors too. To be honest I'm at a loss, the hardware is the same, so it must be software related, whether this windows or BS at fault is hard to know. Edit:- Defragging the drive before installing BS may also help. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
horizon555 Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) Hi Nate & Jessi, Think the problem may be the activation system, after a hard drive clean up I re-installed with just the reactivation code but did not add deactivation number after the : looks as though I will have to buy another deactivation number which i lost on HD format,I will always write seial numbers down on paper from now on dam it. Everything is up to date defrag every couple of days Edited February 18, 2010 by horizon555
Nate--IRL-- Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 No, your serial on the DCS website should still work, you will just lose an activation. Even so you can email ED to get more activations should you run out. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
