Checked komplett.dk?

EDIT: Oh, and note that I have 2x2GB DIMMs, and that the settings and stats in my profile is after overclock. They're ordinarily 800MHz sticks with JEDEC settings for either 4-4-4-12 or 5-5-5-15 at those speeds, and one further setting for 1GHz. I went over that, as you can see, and I think the sticks have more to give than that but don't quite dare since I can't monitor their temperature. :P

and

http://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=361522

I think the only difference is the color. :P

You can slash anothe 100DK off of the price with this variant: http://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=361531

Probably not quite as overclock-friendly, but that's not what you'll be doing anyhow if I understood you right.

The only thing I'm missing now is an case which can accept it all, and a PSU...

Dang, going from some 4,500 dkk (around 600€) to 3,677 dkk (around 494) is nice :D

Now it's only a sparetime job and it's money that's missing :)

Here for example:

Don't get to close above the limitations. Especially on PCs with HDDs and several passive USB-Devices, you need to add some extra watt during startups from cold (unplugged).

When overclocking you'd have a PSU 25%-33% stronger than recommended, as you need more stable power-values and the power needed at start is even higher.

You should also keep in mind that PSUs usually loose a certain percentage in power, if they are working for a few months. All PSUs are subject to that, though high-quality PSUs suffer less from that problem.

Does anyone knows what it cost to to get items shipped to DK with newegg? They got all on my planned list.

newegg.com from the U.S.?

It would be cheaper to order them from Taiwan ;)

This is one of my favorite reseller. Their prices are pretty good, but they don't have much of a variety.

Most of it should be available in English. I only superficially checked some descriptions.

But I'd check a European reseller to reduce shipping prices, delivery times and risks of loosing packages ;)

Sounds reasonable.

Do you know if you have to pay tax for importing hardware? Not that you run into some unpleasant surprises.

I don't know, and that's also why my setup to a look as it does now, as that all is from within DK.

*Edit* it is with tax, tho not with shipping cost included. Afaik, you can also get to a "Pick-up point" so you don't have to pay as high a shipping cost.

Does anyone know a good Duel-core CPu which still are in same price class as the x4, and also might fit onto the mobo?

Was thinking if it's worth trading core for higher Hz's...

The AMD Phenom II X2 555 Callisto 3.2GHz.

it should run you about $100 USD

Also, you might want to get a better PSU. Your the 5770 uses 450 Watts of power, and your Processor uses another 80. This is already over the limit of your current PSU and no other components have been factored in yet. I would suggest a PSU that has a cap of around 700 Watts to ensure stable performance under stressful conditions.

OK, i'll check one there. thx for the headsup

Is the AMD Phenom II X2 545 just as good? it's a bit cheaper, and i can find it on a website where i otherwise can get it all. It's only 3 gHz.

Will a 650W do it?

Updated list for my own sake so i can remember it :D

CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 545

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2

RAM: Crucial DDR2 BallistiX PC6400 4GB CL4

GPU: SAPPHIRE RADEON HD5770

Harddrive: SEAGATE 500GB BARRACUDA 7200. 12

Cabinet: Cooler Master HAF 922 Midi Tower

PSU: Cooler Master GX 750W PSU

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium DK (64bit)

I also changed the case, as i didn't felt happy with the Antec one.

You should be good, just keep in mind you are dropping close to 2GHz per core by switching to a processor that is negligibly cheaper than the Phenom 2 X2 555.

I think i'll buy everything from one dealer (to have it collected one place etc), but get the CPU from somewhere else, as they don't have it.

I'm not completly sure what CPU i should go with.

Phenom II X2 555

- Duel core, 3.3 Ghz

- Good: the high hz is good especially as FC2 can't use multiple cores. dunno with DCS A-10 though

- Bad: only two cores. not as future proof as the quad.

Athlon II X4 620

- quad core, 2.6 Ghz

- Good: a bit cheaper than the phenom, more future proof, as new games and preograms that can use the four cores will come.

- Bad: only 2.6, not sure if that's enough for a high and good fps in DCS: A-10

That is the last thing i need to decide on...

Will it be possible to over-clock the Athlon II to areound 3 - 3.3 Ghz?

I could also get one of the build-self package solution the sites have... one of them have all items i want, plus a better CPU at lower price...

THis is how the computer will look like, as soon as i get the money for it.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945

Motherboard: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO

RAM: Crucial Crucial DDR3 1333MHz 4GB KIT

GPU: XFX Radeon HD 5770

Harddrive: Western Digital Caviar® GreenPower™ 1TB

That thing where DVD's goes into: Apperently a DVD drive is missing... i better look into it. <Insert Blue-Ray drive instead, here>

Cabinet: Cooler Master HAF 922 Midi Tower

PSU: Chieftec A-135 Series 650W PSU

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium DK (64bit)
