Hi to everyone.I have bought and now playing the training missions of DCS: Black Shark.I am going to play the campaign at the game mode and not as a hardcore sim. What parts of the training must I watch to help me in the "easy" mode? Are they all nessesary or they are most refering to the hardcore mode?

Ups, u are on the Lockon section.

Never touched the arcade mode by myself, but I would say that u dont need the training videos.

Why you don`t start with simulation mode? That is what DCS series is meant to be played.

Look at that great tutorial at SIMHQ.com: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2626185/Tutorial_How_to_take_off_and_b.html#Post2626185

The training vids are not for the "arcade" mode of the game. There is a pdf included with the game with instructions for this mode.

Also look on the DCS website under the videos section. There is a demo there.

Have a blast with this mode before gently dipping your toes in the simulation mode, (you can progressively turn bits on and off to help you through the transition).

Good luck.

Thanks alot for your answers and sorry about the wrong place to post my question.I have completed the tutorial and it seems real challenging. But the arcade mode seems to much easy.I think that I am going to try a few single mission at sim mode and then I will try the campaign. An absolutely fantastic sim wich is a pity to play it at "game" mode.

You are in that slightly awkward position of outgrowing the arcade game and being scared sh**less by the sim. Been there.

Save yourself some stress by heading over here and following this guys brilliant tutorial

That is what got me in the air quickly and with the minimum of info overload. Who wants so to spend 1/2 an hour fondling switches when you just want to BLOW SOMETHING UP!!

The switch fondling comes later :joystick:

ps. The trimmer can be weird at first if you are used to plane sims. Theres a good video in the 1st link i sent you about trimming the KA-50.
