trigger help

I have a simple convoy (U.S.) with tankers and AA moving towards my airport, I want to set a trigger zone for a SU25T to take off when the convoy reaches the trigger zone and would like the SU25t to bomb the convoy or at least attack the convoy.

 

Here is what I have so far, it is the plane attacking the convoy which is giving me problems.

 

Convoy 1 is on road heading to airport at 15mph, trigger is set with message to scramble all planes when convoy 1 enters zone, SU25T is set with waypoints and fly over for last WP along with target point set for ground attack and radius near convoy 1, SU is set for 23hrs.

 

What do I need to set the trigger for in order to get the SU to take off and attack???

I'm not much of a mission editor but I think you have to setup the Su-25 group time hold to 23:00 (special time, see the GUI manual page 82) then a trigger "activate group" for Su-25 group when the convoy reaches that trigger zone.

Distilers posting is correct.

 

- First check if the SU-25 is attacking the convoy correctly. It is a mess to handle aircrafts in DCS. Set easy waypoints, watch the altetude and the speed. Add correct attackzones to the waypoints with correct settings.

 

- If the SU-25 is attacking correct, set the holdungtime of the SU-25 to 23h so it is disabled till it will be activated by a trigger.

 

- Set a biiiiig triggerzone over the airport.

 

- Open the triggereditor and enter following triggers:

 

 

# Trigger #1

Name: "Su25 Start #1"

Type: ONCE

Rule: Unit in zone // Convoy-Unit#1 // Triggerzone#1

Action: Set Flag // 1

 

# Trigger #2

Name: "Su25 Start #2"

Type: ONCE

Rule: Unit in zone // Convoy-Unit#2 // Triggerzone#1

Action: Set Flag // 1

 

# Trigger #3

Name: "Su25 Start #3"

Type: ONCE

Rule: Unit in zone // Convoy-Unit#3 // Triggerzone#1

Action: Set Flag // 1

 

etc. for all units in the convoy!

Name: "Su25 Start!!!!"

Type: ONCE

Rule: Flag is true // 1

Action: Activate Group // Su-25#1

Action: Message // "Su-25 is takeing off now"
