Max47 Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 It seems simple enough to figure out, but I cannot visually see any farps or static objects that I place, I can't figure out how to setup the farps for multiplayer 4 on 4

Max47 Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=575910&postcount=38 I cant see any of that its one of the main problems I am having
EvilBivol-1 Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Maybe I misunderstood. Are you not seeing even the icons? EDIT. Oh, I think you mean you can set them up in the editor, but they do not appear in-game? - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
Panzertard Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) Post and contect redirected to new thread: FARP template Edited April 1, 2010 by Panzertard The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
Max47 Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) I can not visually see it, as in that its not appearing on the map, absolutly no static objects show up they are there i can center the map on them I can change variables of them, but its hard to setup anything if you can't see where you are placing it. But thanks for the template I will certainly use that if I can get this thing to work Edited March 26, 2010 by Max47

EvilBivol-1 Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Max, I'm sorry, but you are not being very clear. I think you're looking for the ACTUAL objects to show up in the mission editor. This is not supposed to happen. The mission editor uses icons to represent objects. You have to work with the icons and we are trying to give you tips on how to work with them. Maybe I am still misunderstanding... - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules

Panzertard Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) Mods/Addons? There's a big "no no, dont go there" if you troubleshoot. That means, uninstall - remove any trace of mods - then reinstall, repatch - and the you can retest. Other that this - it should work - never seen anyone with similar issues. Hm. EDIT: How about your local version of the OS, - and the regional settings Maybe you can switch to US/EN in both Region / Location as well as Number/Date formats. It may be a LUA date/file/number format problem. Edited March 26, 2010 by Panzertard The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
Max47 Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) something strange I noticed about your screenshot is your terrain and things look different than mine, maybe this is a DirectX issue?? refer to this thread on directX installation, I still had same error after last re-install, can't recall the one prior to fix these issues, but they were cleared up with fresh driver install http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=51197 Edited March 26, 2010 by Max47
Design Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Then I suggest this procedure (sorry if known, I write it down for don't forget anything). Save your missions/tracks/templates/input files to another location Uninstall all possible third-party mods Uninstall BS Reboot Install BS Apply patch 1.0.1c that suits for your language Reboot Run BS and check if it happens again. If now works ok, close it, recopy input/missions/track files, etc Check everything ok Install third-party mods. And don't forget to have fun when everything works ok. Panzertard Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 no mods simply lua modifications to support my monitors Now there's a clue ... monitors, plural, lua, mod It may be a "multimonitor" issue - due to mods for multimontors to work. Max47 Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 you may be right, I might be on to something here.. just before i read this post I deleted my entire ED folder under users and loaded it and now have icons. Now I must figure out what caused the problem and modify it to work ;)
Panzertard Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Also, ATI and Catalyst AI - are known to have certain issues in the DCS:BS gui. The GUI runs under OpenGL - the game engine runs with DirectX from what I understand. Hence you may see some of the famous ATI issues in the GUI, the ME editor. So have you disabled Catalyst AI?
