Am I missing something here, I installed lomac and am trying to install fc 2.0 but i keep getting a runtime error.

Do I need to have flaming cliffs 1 already or something? The pre-reqs could be a little clearer on the website. I have also downloaded the files 2 times to make sure they were not corrupt.

This is really starting to piss me off. If this does not work by the end of the day, or if I have to buy more stuff to get it working then I will be seeking a refund.

If you're installing the russian version, you don't need anything, not even lockon 1. The russian version has it all (they were not bound to UBI in Russia).

Anyway, that error, dunno but it's like the exe got corrupted while downloading. Why don't you try to download via torrent?

PD: also it seems they changed something in the installator and uploaded new files or something:

There are no pre-reqs for the RU version except your computer, windows and you.

Surely there must be a reason for your problems - so let's investigate.

- Windows, Event Logs, Application Log - anything out of the ordinary?

- Harddisk / NTFS volume health - run a diskcheck (CHKDSK C: /F) or such to ensure you dont have crosslinked clusters or bad indexes.

- Protection software that prevents you from installing / making changes?

- Virus?

- Admin permission to install?

The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning

My pc has been operating normally for quite a while and I run regular virus scans (of course that doesn't mean it didn't miss something)

I'm about to run a check disk

and.. Nothing that would prevent installation. I have also tried running as "administrator" but in reality my user account has all permissions for anything.

I had no problems with black shark
