Quick one - presumably an engine failure on one means it's screwed? Anyone know?

Can't presumably glide very well like a fixed wing nor could it autorotate like a 'copter?

The Osprey autorotates poorly, and it glides poorly. If you lose both engines, you better have some luck on your side.

That being said, there is a series of interconnecting driveshafts and gearboxes that allow either engine to run both props. So losing just one engine is not a complete disaster...maybe.

Thanks - cross driving from engines makes sense. I suppose similar to the BS, one engine doesn't power just one rotor.
