I also lost the box with my cd key so I may just buy it again. Can you just direct to drive it? NOTAM:P Please watch this thread Im sure I will have more questions getting this up and running. Distiler Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 If you're trying to install LO:FC1 in W7 then you need the Starforce update: http://www.star-force.com/support/sfdrvup.zip For Hyperlobby: http://hyperfighter.sk/ PD: if what you really have in mind is to play the just released LO:FC2 then you don't really need to install LO:FC, just regular LO. Also, HL doesen'0t work with LO:FC2. AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
MagpulOperator Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) Does Hl just work with LO? This is all there is on the HL dl page. http://hyperfighter.sk/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=2 Edited March 29, 2010 by MagpulOperator
Distiler Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Does Hl just work with LO? With LO and LO:FC. I see you have LockOn Gold, that already includes LO:FC, so it's also compatible with HL. I guess that version can be updated with the same Starforce file I linked you. Take a look at this: http://www.star-force.com/support/drivers/ AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
MagpulOperator Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) I will probly just have to buy it again because I lost my cd key. Also what patch do I want for just LOMAC. Are thier other options then HL to play this game online? Edited March 29, 2010 by MagpulOperator
AustinN360 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I will probly just have to buy it again because I lost my cd key. Also what patch do I want for just LOMAC. Are thier other options then HL to play this game online? I have the a slightly different copy of Lockon Gold by Evolved (I have the Shiny disks with the A10 engraved on them) and I can tell you that you do not have to buy the game again as this version works by checking the Flaming Cliffs disk once a week!
MagpulOperator Posted March 29, 2010 Author Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) Well starforce keeps asking me for windows 95,98,xp... When I try and up date starforce it says no protection drivers found. This is why I have never played this game this starforce is a joke I paid full price back when it came out and have yet to spend one min actually playing the game due to copy protection keeping me the guy who bought it out. Its starforce 3.04 Edited March 29, 2010 by MagpulOperator
AustinN360 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Try This: I play FC 1.12b without any problem on Windows 7. How to proceed? - Disable User Access Control - Install Lockon - Install FC 1.1 - reboot - install the patch 1.12b - reboot - start Lockon: you will get starforce driver error - download and install latest starforce driver - reboot - start Lockon, it will work fine: now you can configure it (your graphics, joystick settings etc.... - if you want back full security, you can put User Access Control back on There is one thing, when UAC is enabled, your Lockon config files and missions will not be written into the program files folder, but under c:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics So, if you have to edit graphics.cfg it is the file in that directory that you should modify. (Set View hiden files to on in Folder options to be able to see these folders). So basically, you can run FC smoothly under Windows 7 with full security if you want! Performance is excellent. MagpulOperator Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) Followed the instructions to the letter, and when it went to verify the disk it is saying its not a liscensed disk... I got alot further in the process, now I have a new starforce window but it fails when checking disk. As you can see it is a legit disk.... Edited March 30, 2010 by MagpulOperator
AustinN360 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 When you try to get the disk check, do you get a popup saying "driver install blocked due to incompatibility" or something like that? If so, that is the point to run the SFupdate file.
MagpulOperator Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 Which I did, and it hasnt come back up
AustinN360 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Have you tried right Clicking on the icon on your desktop selecting properties and running as admin?
MagpulOperator Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) I appreciate your help I added rep! Heres the error I am getting. And yes Im running it as admin. And the stupid disk check deal starts like 25% of the way across and then just sits there. Until it fails. Is there any tech support at all for this game. Should I just get FC 2 d2d? And forget all this nonsense? Can I get around all this by just getting BC2? Also I am still missing a place to dl HL client. Are thier other ways to play this online? MagpulOperator Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) I just bought FC2 so I guess Ill try that for now. Also where can I DL a LOMAC Manual? Also looking for HD cockpits, and a listing of what squads are still active! Edited March 30, 2010 by MagpulOperator
slug88 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 A link to the FC2 manual should be in your FC2 folder in the start menu. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
