Trooper47 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Hellow there, I started the campaign for the A 10. First mission: destroy T72's on abandoned airstrip second mission: destroy T72's on abandoned airstrip Third Misison: destroy hauwitzers is it normal that I have to do the same mission twice? I red somewhere that the first mission was destroying tanks somewhere along a bridge. Can anyone elaborate on this?
FBW Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 when you finish the first mission, did you save? In FC, if you didn't save and quit, then you have to do the same mission all over again. Happened to me in one of those F-15 missions. It was a hard one too.
Distiler Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Missión 1 and 2a are similar, but not the same. 1 MISSION: Enemy forces are dug in along the southern approach into Kobuleti, guarding the road and rail bridges into the city. Air strikes will be tasked on these forces to attrite them prior to friendly ground forces advancing. OBJECTIVE: One platoon of three T-72B main battle tanks have been located just north of the bridges. This is the primary objective. Contact JTAC (POINTER) for specific tasking instructions when airborne. THREATS: Light air defenses consist of ZSU-23-4 and truck-mounted ZU-23 AAA. 2a MISSION: Enemy forces have established a line of defense running east to west between Kobuleti and Alambari. Air strikes will be tasked on these forces to attrite them prior to friendly ground forces advancing. OBJECTIVE: One platoon of three T-72B main battle tanks have been located on the abandoned airstrip north of Kobuleti. This is the primary objective. Contact JTAC (POINTER) for specific tasking instructions when airborne. THREATS: Light air defenses consist of ZSU-23-4 and truck-mounted ZU-23 AAA. FBW Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 the briefings are different though. one says "dug in" other one says "line of defence" i m confused as well
ED Team Wags Posted March 29, 2010 ED Team Posted March 29, 2010 They are certainty different. Feel free to open them up as single missions to see. Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt Twitch: wagmatt System: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3729544#post3729544
Distiler Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 i'm pretty sure 1A and 2a are the same Nope, objective in 1 are tanks in the village, near a bridge. In 2A the objective is near the abandoned airstrip. That doesen't mean in mission 1 there are not enemy units in the abandoned airstrip (there are in fact), it means the objective is another tank group (the one in the village). In the mission 2, your tropps advance to the village you have just cleaned, so the next target is the airstrip: 1 2A 1 AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
Napa Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Thanks for the PM Distiler. I'm glad there was no bug after all. Although I'll re-install FC2.0 later when I finish from work... after reading the forums for 3-4 days on bug reports I realized that its very critical to install FC2.0 in a certain way. I had LO 1 and patch to 1.12 (with mods installed) and (with no patience what-so-ever) I installed FC2.0 and I THINK... I think this is what it causes the game to crash sometimes (sorry for the off-topic btw). After I installed and activated FC2.0 I unistalled the mods from 1.12 and rolled back to 1.1 and then unistalled completely FC1 and original LO. I'll remove everything (do a PC and HD maintenance) and reinstall original LO and then FC2.0 skipping FC1. Although I'll re-install FC2.0 later when I finish from work... after reading the forums for 3-4 days on bug reports I realized that its very critical to install FC2.0 in a very strict manner. I had LO 1 and patch to 1.12 (with mods installed) and (with no patience what-so-ever) I installed FC2.0 and I THINK... In reality those are different product, LO and LO:FC2 are used just as a check to allow you to install LO:FC2, but files are not shared. BTW, if you have an Ati and have a crash related to changing between weapons in the A-10, check this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=51587&page=4 AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2

I did install FC2.0 in the same folder with FC1 and LO and DCS C:/Eagle Dynamics/DCS Black Shark ........................./LockOn FC1.12 ........................./LockOn FC2.0 I didn't install in Program files(86x) because of Modman and Vista64bit related issues I'm having. P.S. I'm using NVIDIA GTX295 but I'll check out the thread anyway thanks. edit: again, I'm sorry for thread hijacking Edited March 30, 2010 by Innerloop Intel i7 12700k / Corsair H150i Elite Capellix / Asus TUF Z690 Wifi D4 / Corsair Dominator 32GB 3200Mhz / Corsair HW1000W / 1x Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus 500Gb + 1 Corsair MP600 1TB / ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3080 OC V2 / Fractal Design Meshify 2 / HOTAS Warthog / TFRP Rudder / TrackIR 5 / Dell U2515h 25" Monitor 1440p
Trooper47 Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 Here are my pics, Mission 1 B Mission 2 A Looks the same to me. :) 1
Distiler Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) oh that was unexpected. So the question is not that if 1A and 2A are the same (they are not in fact), but about stage 1 having mission 1A and 2B (perhaps should exist one 1B). It might be by design (so if you're in stage 2 and fail you go backwards), but I suspect it is not. Good catch! let's see what ED says. I'll report it in the bug thread, not as mission 1A and 2A being the same but stage 1 having 2A mission in it. Trooper47 Posted March 31, 2010 Author Posted March 31, 2010 I'm sorry for the confusion, I'll accompany my questions always with pics in the future ;). Btw, these pictures are taken after I did reset the campaign.
