the_soupdragon Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 the program is great for Black Shark, and it really makes adding skins etc a doddle as well as bringing multi core to it. Any chance it will come to FC2? SD [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Anastasiuss Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 FC2 used all of your cores in the same way as in BS 1.0.1. But the other features of DCSMAX are brilliant too. Same features for FC2 in a "FC2MAX" would be great. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 360th TFW Falconeers last video -> ASUS P6X58D Premium, Intel Core i7 920, 6GB DDR3, SAPPHIRE TOXIC HD 5850, Win7 64 Bit. slug88 Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Don't know, but FYI, as of the latest patch for DCS (and presumably this is true for FC2 as well), external utilities are no longer required to enable multicore support in Vista/W7. Edit: Beaten :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Phoenix FR Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 We've got a speech with Skypat about DCS max. If there is no need for multicore management, Skypat think about the option skin, ... But it's not the priority, and could be never done.

Phoenix FR Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 For an easy to add skins and everything program look here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=51619 He's not working the same way. Modmanager allow you to install skins, DCSmax allow you, from your desktop to select a mission and a skin, and launch the game. :smilewink: It's a quick mission launcher with the choice of the skin you want using.

Phoenix FR Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Ok you don't understand how it works. DCS max doesn't provide any change to your game. That's the Modmanager role. You install every addons you want with modmanager, and you use DCS max to launch any missions with any skins you installed with modmanager. It's only a quick mission launcher, that's all. Blackshark users use both of them. Anyway, DCS max has not been tested and adapted to FC2 yet, and maybe will be never.
asparagin Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I understand exactly how it works. Here a reminder what soupdragon asked for: the program is great for Black Shark, and it really makes adding skins etc a doddle as well as bringing multi core to it. Any chance it will come to FC2? SD "adding skins".. this you can do easy with modman, that is why I mention it. Mugenjin Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 The OP asked about the feasibility of a possible FC2MAX, which would bring multicore support, which is not needed, and i.e. handy selection of skins/shortcuts for important programs. I guess "adding skins" was just an unprecise example. So I don't think he was asking about a tool, which turns out to be the soon existing modman 7.2 :P Anywho FC2Max would be awesome! :D €dit: Woot! 7.2 is already out? How come I don't have it. Yet :P
Phoenix FR Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Ok, I think he use addding instead selecting which is more apropriate. Edit : oups, i didn't see the reply from Mugenjin.
