Whenever I launch FC 2.0 missions, I sometimes get a pop up referring to Black Shark.

It doesn't seem to stop the game from working but it is annoying. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Didi you happend to install the sim in the default directory?

A friend of mine was having a lot of problems with blackshark lua and directories files, and fix it by reinstalling in another partition/hardrive.

I did install to the default directories.

I was thinking about reinstalling everything but I think I am down to my last activiation on Black Shark.

Just out of interest, can I install DCS Black Shark and DCS FC 2.0 without the original LOMAC?

Eventhough the error it´s telling you something about Blackshark, the actual error it´s in files an foldes inside your FC2 installation so no need to reinstall BS!

For BS you don´t need anything, but for the download version of FC2 you will need Lock On. I think they are planning to publish a DVD "stand alone" version somewhere in the future, but for now you will need the original lock on in order to install FC2.

DCS:BS and FC2 are different products - you can install them separately - never in the same directory.

- DCS:BS is standalone, no need for Lockon

- FC2 EN needs Lockon (1.0) installed as a pre-requiste for installing FC2.

FC2 must then be installed in the Default / separate directory.

Lockon 1.x, FC1, FC2 and DCS can co-exists on the same computer - just make sure they are in separate directories.

If you're in Windows Vista or 7 avoid at all costs /program files folder and if you can, even the whole C: unit and install it in another partition or drive.

BTW, don't install FC2 over Lockon or Lockon: Flamming Cliffs, use another folder.

Hmm - so no C drive?

Any particular reason?

None of my installs overlap each other, they are all in their own directories :)
