problems running FC2

Hi There,I can't get FC2 to run,like blackshark,i downloaded files,put into a folder,ran exe,it loaded,i registerd it,it all looks good but it won't load amission or instant action,it says FC needs to close,and i get that end of mission page..

I'm using 64 bit vista up to date,been flyin BS for a year+no problems gateway 6710-01 ati 4850 6gigs ram

Can't see much that I worry about unless you did get some of the *.CRASH files / error files meantioned here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=52089

You graphics seem updated - sound system outdated - but unless it's related to the crash we can just guess.

And no mods in FC2 yet I hope - reinstall yet again if you have modded it - need to get it working in a plain vanilla version of FC2.

 

Waiting for any crash/error logs attached.

I'm not sure - but is there a little arrow for the "simulator must now close" - giving you more details? Copy & paste them.

There you obviously have found a nice clue.

So the question is - can you upgrade the drivers for it? Or swap it for another sound system if you are lucky enough to have another lying nearby?

 

Also with the new sound engine in FC2 - remember to have a look at the FC2 sound FAQ - maybe some of the suggested changes there can make a difference for you. :)

Hi there,using speakers that came with computer changes nothing.the problem is in the product.my drivers are all good,there are no problems with computer.

I hope somebody looks into this.it has to do with 1020 XAudio 2 1.dll version fault 9.23.135.0 when you install game it does a feb 2010 directx update,is this some problem?I'm at aloss now,very unhappy. thanx all.

You need the directx9 update when the game installs. Don't worry, it won't override your directx10 or 11.

That xaudio2_1.dll file is part of the directx9 that FC2 installs. Reinstall the game or download and reinstall directx9 from Microsoft website:

Do you have FC2 installed inside "/program files" folder? in Vista and W7 it's better outside.

Yes,its installed to default eagle dyn along with Blackshark in programs.

You might try to go to your motherboard/computer vendor website and download sound drivers from there. Your realtek drivers, according to dxdiagnostic are a bit old. It can't hurt.

 

Also, does multiplayer work or it gives you the same error?

Looking at your DxDiag.txt I found a strange thing:

I also have a Realtek sound ship, but use Microsoft drivers, instead of Realtek.

I use realtek drivers, but a more updated version than jazzviper and it shows correctly. I guess trying Microsoft drivers is an alternative to try realtek ones:

There are no updated Realtek drivers (still 5688 version) there, but you might want to reinstall them, search for a more updated ones or try Microsoft drivers.
