FC2 - can I remove canopy scratches?

Hey guys

 

Just wondering how I can remove the canopy scratches, which glitch out when using anisotropic filtering? I've tried the "Canopy without Scratches" mod by Xuantam_vOz, but it greyed out the canopy on my F15 (I'm also using the 3 in 1 plane pack for FC2, which replaces the F15, A10 and SU27).

 

I've tried a forum search and found folks who had removed the scratches, but couldn't figure out how they did it...

I think in Bazar/Effects/Canopy folder there are two BMP files.. if you open them in Paint program you'll see they are just grey background images with some green and blue lines that match in position... all you need to do is pick the grey colour of the background and make the whole image of that colour (simply erase the lines) and save and you're done, it's that simple.
