KaTZ-Pit available for FC2.0

Hi all,

 

As some of you might have seen, I had developped a virtual pit for LockOn Flaming Cliffs 112, named the KaTZ-Pit.

 

This virtual pit, was displaying flight info from LO + some specific info. like fuel consumption, range... and also allowing clicking to command various aspect like canopy, ejection , engins start and stop, light, refuel.

A weapon panel was also available.

 

This pit could run in dual screen mode or on a second PC.

It uses SIOC and Gauge Composer as interface.

 

Since the release of FlamingCliffs 2.0, I have been busy readapting it.

This is now done, with a drop in solution allowing to keep the pit "as is", just needed a new export lua program.

 

The 2.0 version, is fully fonctionnal only aspect that have been heavily modify will need further modification (refuel procedure, weapon panel and MDF). This will be done in the coming days.

But, could you be so kind to provide further info in English, especially regarding wiring and SIOC scripts. I have MSC card and its sitting idle cos I do not understand French, and I've been asking fo rhelp on your forum :(

I still need to finish the v204 of the export programme from LockOn 2.0 to SIOC.

The v202 had all instrument working as well as the nav. and the commande from SIOC>LockOn.

This latest version, will have all the weapon panel operational (as it was under FC112).

 

Once this is done (this WE), I will update the usermanual in English.

Tthe next release of the KaTZ-Pit will also have a mechanical panel (flaps, Landing gear, AirBreak ...) now that those elements status are exportable.

Sioc is very stable and does not use much CPU power.

As far as the export from LO, is concerned, I have been carefull during the design to minimize as much as possible the load on the program as well as the traffic between LO ans SIOC.

 

I have split the exported value depending on their speed of variation.

As such data like IAS, TAS, Altitude, engin rmp aso aso .. are exported every 200m seconds. Other data like the weapon panel, the mechanical elements (flaps, gear, airbreak ...) are exported every second only.

Furthermore, when a data is gaverred from LockOn, it is compared with the precedent one. It will be exported only if different from the previous one.

On my PC, I cannot tell the difference on frame rate when the KaTZ-Pit is running.

 

To ensure this, I have developped a "fps mesurement utility" that can be downloaded here

(the second link).

 

For your info. I have released the latest export subroutine yesterday (v204) (all export + weapon panel + commande to LockOn are working) see here
