EtherealN Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 maybe you have some real heli pilots allready for testing the flight model ..... if not, i was one in the german army aviation >>>> anti tank bo-105 pah. Yeah, DCS:BS was developed in co-operation with Kamov and with input from Ka-50 pilots, as well as engineers that work on that engine type. It is a real shame that you are having problems though - I really hope the patch does it or someone thinks of something. If a pilot has to give up his wings he should at least have something similar to do on the computer, and I am quite certain that you will be very pleased with the detail of the simulator if we can just get it to work on your machine. ShadowVonChadwick Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) OK you know DCS.exe runs!! Now go to install directory find Launcher.exe..... Send to desktop as shortcut Edit Start in parameters to look similar to attachment below Quotation marks are as already mentioned by EtherealN due to the space in \Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50. The reason I suggested to run Launcher with out --console and in a "Normal window" is so you can see what launcher.exe is doing in the "DOS Box" that will be visible ( or should be ). And it might give us more info about what is going on. Yes I know its not DOS ! I suggest you set a standard rez for now, it will be windowed and wont take up to much space on your screen. Black Shark\Data\Scripts\options.lua . But must use Notepad++ (you will find it easy enough on web) ["graphics"] = { ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "1camera", ["color"] = "32", ["heatBlr"] = 1, ["scenes"] = "high", ["water"] = 2, ["fullScreen"] = false, --needs to be false for now ["visibRange"] = "High", ["aspect"] = 1.3333333333333, --change this = 4/3 ["textures"] = 2, ["shadows"] = 3, ["display_mode"] = { ["avi"] = { ["bpp"] = 32, ["resolution"] = "640x480", ["full_screen"] = false, ["aspect"] = 1.333333333, ["height"] = 480, ["width"] = 640, }, -- end of ["avi"] }, -- end of ["display_mode"] ["effects"] = 3, ["lights"] = 2, ["haze"] = 1, ["terrPrld"] = "20", ["height"] = 768, --change ["resolution"] = "1024x768", --dont bother with this ["civTraffic"] = 0, ["width"] = 1024, --change }, -- end of ["graphics"] Give it a go and see if you get any info in the command prompt window. Only other thing I could think of is to copy lua-gui5.dll from FlamingCliffs to BlackShark ( remember to rename original BlackShark lau-gui5.dll ) Hope something helps....Shad Edited April 15, 2010 by ShadowVonChadwick RyZen5 3600x, MSI GamingX RX 5700xt, AX-370-K7, 16 Gig G-Skil 3200 , Antec 650w (Still),Win10 on 256G 870 NVMe, 860+850 Evo for Apps, 2x1TB WD HDs for :music_whistling:, TR5 :detective:, Hog stick:joystick:, 3x TM MFD Bezels. a 32" AOC, @ 2560x1440, no floppy & a crappy chair :pain:. EtherealN Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 I'm not sure about Win7, but it should at least be similar to Vista, where you press Start, then right-click "Computer", click "manage", then find the Event viewer under "system tools". It as a bit cumbersome to use however. ShadowVonChadwick Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) and what will this mean ? dont undertand what you wanted to tell me :) Sorry it was a bit vague,,,,Your Mobility Radeon HD 4600 series onboard GPU is known to have problems with some Open GL applications which I believe the User Interface (Launcher.exe) uses. This is the reason I suggested you copy "lua_gui5.dll" from FC2 to BlackShark. As it is called & used by Launcher.exe. As you know FC2 runs OK, I though it might be worth trying. Rember to rename or backup original. You cant use "FC2" Launcher.exe Have tested it here as those Screen Shots show. Microsoft Windows is not shipped with support for X, but many third-party implementations exist, both free and open source software such as Cygwin/X, Xming (free up to 6.9.0.31), Mocha X Server[3] and WeirdX; and proprietary products such as Xmanager, Exceed, MKS X/Server, Reflection X, X-Win32, and Xming.
