Reinstalling Lomac/FC on Win7

Got a new comp, Win7 - was having the usual issues re: Starforce, installing under Program Files, etc, and I beleive after all my internet searches, I've determined that the process goes:

 

Install Lomac. Install Flaming Cliffs as "Administrator", but don't do in "Program Files" (here is where I ask - can you put it in the "Program Files x86"?, rather than right on the C:\?). Don't run the game, but get the Win7 patch from Starforce and reboot, then run the game.

 

Correct me if there's any error so far...

 

Now the problem is that I've also ended up screwing up my uninstall and have manually deleted all trace of Lock-On folders, files, etc. I ran the free CCleaner to correct registry issues, and now when I try to re-install from scratch, it says "uninstall", "play", "quit", etc. So I think there's still a registry issue somewhere. That's the limit of my computer savvy. I'm trying to eventually get my FC2 and Blackshark re-installed, but I'm dead in the water with FC series. I'd like to get this sorted out before I attempt BS.

 

Any advice, steps you guys can offer. I've tried to search for my specific "uninstall" issue but to no avail... I can't have been the only one, lol.

just have it uninstall and you really should use PCregistry cleaner. http://www.registry-cleaner.net/ best money I have spent and free updats and works with 64bit. Should'nt have any issues installing it into the program files (86). But you really should just make a games directory folder. "C:\games\EagelDynamics\"
