Speedbrake Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 In the A-10A when traveling via waypoints, when you shift to air-to-ground combat (7) the distance to the waypoint hangs up, i.e. does not change. If you go back to straight navigation (1) the distance shifts back to the correct value. This was on a short 8-waypoint navigation mission I made up. I am using the basic stock simulation with the A-10a SimMod modification. I don't think that Flaming Cliffs v1.12 does that.
Ven Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Yea, has been reported and ED confirmed that it wont be fixed. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=52102
E61-v1T1 Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 This is a known bug comes from the FC1 and occurs in all planes. As is an old issue had not commented, I personally thought they were going to fix in FC2, but it was not. To get a good distance, you should always stay in navigation mode, but the HSI data are valid, so you can spend a BVR or Air-Ground and not lose the direction of the route, something useful. S! Speedbrake Posted April 18, 2010 Author Posted April 18, 2010 Well okay Thanks for the quick update. I didn't see those other threads, guess I will have to wait for A-10C. I was using a waypoint (bridge) in a mountain canyon as a target and was surprised when the distance countdown stopped. i almost flew right past the target! :joystick:
