aleksaleks Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I know this is probably a stupid and trivial question, but ... how do I release a missile in FC2? I jumped to FC2 from Lockon (no FC). Programmed the stick for both MiG/Su and F-15C and yeah I can fire the cannon, but I can not launch a single missile, neither for the MiG29/Su27 nor for the F-15c. Is there a cage-uncage/master arm button I need to activate first? Thanks, Aleks
159th_Viper Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Provided you're within valid launch parameters, Weapons Release keypress is [space]. Ensure you have the keypress depressed for a second or more till actual launch. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! nomdeplume Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 US aircraft have a weapons fire (space by default) and weapons release (space+ralt by default). "Fire" will always fire the cannon, missiles are fired by the "weapons release". You can view/alter the keybinds for this in options/controls. Russian aircraft have only one fire command (space), which will fire whatever weapon is currently selected. You'll need to be in a weapons employment mode (one of the number keys) in order to use the weapons... if you're able to fire the gun then you've already done that. Also note that you have to hold down the weapons release key for a second or two before the missile will actually launch. If you just tap the button nothing will happen.
aleksaleks Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 Thanks a lot guys. SO the difference was in holding the button for 1-2s and not just tapping it (which works fine in the original Lockon). I appreciate your help!
