F15C can not lock target in BVR mode

Hi, it's me again with my rusty Lockon expereince. I can not get a lock in BVR mode with the F15C ("2"+"I"), I can not lock regardless whether I'm in STT or TWS mode. I slew the TD over the contact (the "bars" in STT or aircraft symbols in TWS) and when I press "enter" I get the caret for a split moment and then it dissapears. And this happens in all missions or quick start at all scan distances. I get valid radar contacts and I can not get a lock, never, not a single time. No problem with the auto acquisition modes (VS, Bore).

 

The BVR mode works perfectly fine with the MiG29S (have not tested with other aircraft). Press "2"+"I" get a contact on the HUD, slew TD over it, press "enter" and voila it works. So my probelm is as it seems limited to the F15C.

 

What is going on there, why can't I BVR lock any contact with the F15C?

i have same problem as you, althou i didnt tryed other aircrafts yet...

may be something like rshift+ or rshift- or ralt+- or rctrl+- dont remember what exatly they do:)

I have this sometimes too..don't know if it is a bug or it is a real flight experince with AN/APG radar !!!

F15C BVR no lok possible - resolved

 

I found it I found it (the solution that is). You can not use BVR mode reliably i.e. on the F15C at all on other planes reliably if you have the Game avionics mode on. Deselect taht and it all works fine. Thought of it to be a nice graphical gimmic, but coming from Lockon that was not avaialble in the first place so I don;t need it.
