bigdog4215 Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 i need some help understanding whats causing my bird to act like this.i don t know if it happened this time but as soon as i hit the unpause button the collective pulls up on its own and notice as soon as i lift off the cylic is pulling up by itself.is this supposed to happen or is it a bug of some sorthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8jNriuwyzA&feature=related i attached a link to a video[above]showingthe turn off the autopilot buttons[the blue ones on the bottom right]and i did the same in my saved track below.if its not a bug can someone tell me whats going on
EtherealN Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Well, first off: don't turn those off. Really, don't. Real Ka-50 pilots are not allowed to do that - they are not only "autopilot" buttons, they also control the damper/stabilization channels and when you deactivate those the helicopter will be a lot more sensitive. You switching to outside view also makes it a lot harder to try see what's happening since it deactivated the Rctrl-Enter control input indicator I had activated. Your collective going up "on it's own" is most likely a stick/throttle issue. On my previous stick it would do this unless I first moved the throttle slider all the way up and down to ensure that the stick is sending a signal that is corresponding with it's position. Most likely that is what is happening to you - your throttle slider may be in a bottom position but it is sending an old signal to DirectInput. EtherealN Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 (edited) Could you open the mission editor, place a helicopter with first waypoint as "start on runway" so that it has all standard systems active right from the start (decreases time waiting), then perform the maneuver while staying in cockpit view. (Obviously, also set that Ka-50's skill level to "Player".) Also, what is the exact mappings of your stick? Could you screenshot your axis commands section in the control options? Ensure that you have set your control options display to "Ka-50 real", not "Ka-50 game". EtherealN Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 To take the screenshot, just navigate to the Options screen, select controls, select "Ka-50 Real", then select "Axis Commands" in the drop-down menu. Then press "Pr Sc" or "Print Screen". When this is done, got to your browser and at the bottom of this thread click "Go Advanced". In the expanded reply box that is created, use the attachement tool and select the screenshot file (in C:\Games\DCSBS\Screenshots or corresponding directory according to your install). winz Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 1)You don't turn the chopper while in forward flight by using the rudder. You turn it by banking. 2)Trim, Trim, Trim, in the whole video you haven't trimmed the chopper once. The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3

winz Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 (edited) Yes, that is the correct course of action press trim - move the stick - release trim - move the stick to center You haven't used trim in that video, are you sure you pressed the right button? your heli crashed because you moved your cyclic too hard while you were in high speed, with high collective setting. This caused your blades to intersect. Edited June 14, 2010 by winz The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
