Vekkinho Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 LOL funny one Frazer, what's that in the central stick base? Rubber bands for centering?! LOL! Real DIY! BTW what HOTAS hardware and profiles do you use for such precise formation flying?! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Lulac Posted June 16, 2010 Author Posted June 16, 2010 . . . gone with the wind . . . I think that the guy who worked on it give up :( . . . I was thinking about some company would produce such piece of equipment :music_whistling: [sIGPIC]D:\avioni\razno\potpis 1 orao.jpg[/sIGPIC]

BTW what HOTAS hardware and profiles do you use for such precise formation flying?! On the central stick base these are indeed rubber bands. Basically, this stick is a stock cougar with extended cables. The extra centering force is feeling heavy and more realistic (I flew it a couple of times when I was visiting my buddies in Russia). For the rest of the team, we all use stock X52Pro's with 25% curve on the y axis. So, nothing fancy. ;) Forum | Videos | DCS:BS Demo1 / Demo2 | YouTube Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I think they should put that stick on the new Warthog HOTAS :joystick: Forum | Videos | DCS:BS Demo1 / Demo2 | YouTube Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Triggerhappy69 Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I doubt they gave up, might be more like a break than giving up. I think they should put that stick on the new Warthog HOTAS :joystick: I agree. Don't think they have givven up on the project, but I'm not sure if and/or how long it will be before this Su-27 stick is available for sale.. As far as I can remember, from what HPO said when I was visitingthem, they stick was originally ment to be a part of a cockpit that Joe Curr and some others were building? ... but I'm getting old now.. my memory is not the same anymore.. As far as russian DIY joysticks go. They might look less "flashy" than they're western counterparts, but the ingenuity and brilliant design solutions from some of them are just to die for..! I find myself spending HOURS searcing through russian forums like sukhoi.ru and other, looking at pictures and picking up ideas.. (mainly because I can't read a word russian) I've just finished modding an old SunCom F-15 and Thrustmaster F-16 HOTAS together to make an A-10 HOTAS with split throttle.. It did take some time, and I had to get rid of all the inernal electronics, and replace with one of Leo's joystick cards. But now that it's done, I have to say that it really does the job well..! And it's "kinda Russian".. witch I like.. "But (504)Brewber said they were'nt friendly.. So I took'em out.!" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
