So I've gotten into 3D level designing with tools provided by Valve and I want to make a fun game, so I must ask, which Carrier is best for defending against Zombie attacks?(when tied to the docks). I want to know which so I can get good reference pics to build it. Oh, one more thing I would prefer an American carrier because I have FA-18s. Thanks!

Just take one of those nimitz, and replace all non-phalanx weapons with phalanx weapons... And remember to change their guidance system from radar to something like IR or TV :D

I'm thinking about using the USS Midway because I've been on it.

I guess I will use a Nimitz class, just having a hard time finding the dimensions of one.

L4D2 I would assume. Although its pretty easy to transfer art assets from one game into the other.

I could see a carrier or a historical ship as a cool place to have a finale. The only downside is the deck of a carrier is quite uninteresting as a combat area... at least in Left 4 Dead terms. I'd suggest a running finale where most of the fight is in the hanger of a carrier or the deck of a battleship, with the goal to make it to an escape helicopter at the other end or the top.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

I have some ideas on how to make it fun but the real problem is size. I am not sure if this is true but somebody told me that 1 square in Hammer = .75 inches. If that is so 16 squares = 1 foot. For a Nimitz(length = 1092 ft.) to fit into the map, I would need over 17,000 squares, but only a max of 64 by 64 grid is given.

I started building it. I think the measurments I was told are wrong because I got some good pics and am able to scale the carrier to the FA-18s. I am going to make the deck and the bottom seperatly, combine them and then make the tower.
