rattler Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 ok, how do we take an existing .mis , make a copy then edit it to what we want.\ In fc1.12 we had the classified and declassified function so we could edit some existing exercises without having to add a lot of stuff. Can we do this in FC2. If so could someone just give me a quick walk through. Thanks for any help.:(
104th_Crunch Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Sorry, rattler. I can't understand your question fully. Are you looking for a classified function so you can hide objects without the player seeing it? This is not available anymore in FC2. If you haven't, take a look at your docs folder for the GUI manual. It is very good.
nomdeplume Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 FC2 mission file format isn't compatible with earlier versions of FC or LOMAC, so there's no way to edit the previous missions. I'm not certain that's what you're asking, but I thought I'd mention it just in case. If you want to edit the missions that come with FC2, then you can do that. Run the mission editor, select open mission, find the mission in question, and presto it's open. I'd suggest you immediately go to File -> Save As and save it under a different filename before you start making changes. Actually I'd also suggest making an additional folder under the Missions directory for your own missions (you'll need to do this from Explorer). Many missions will have 'hidden' units which don't appear on the map, and neither do they appear in the mission editor. You can reveal them by clicking on the units list button (two above the "Map" button, immediately above the red X) and double-clicking in the "Status" column to toggle whether it is hidden or not. I'd also suggest checking out Blindspot's ME mods which adds some very useful functionality to the editor. http://files.lockon.ru/en/106/

In Fc1.12 we could save the mission or training track. Then we would use the 5 letter name:D to declassify the mission etc. so we could add or delete a/c,buildings, etc.:D, so yes your info is what I was looking for. New to FC2. Just arrived. Many thanks.
DAce Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 About this same subject i have a little question. I', flying LOMAC v1.02, without flamming cliffs. I'd like to change the starting time of some training missions, specially the Su-25 training missions. I open that missions with mission editor, i declassify (just in case, i don't know for sure that this was necessary) and i change the starting time of MY FLIGHT, and some others, but the mission starts at 12:00. I don´t know how to make the mission start at 22:00. I have to start mission, accelerate time and my plane suddenly appears at 22:00. How can i change the general mission start? Thanks.
