Madman777 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Hello, Having an issue with recorded tracks. It seems that when I play them back, a different outcome happens. I thought how is this possible, then I realized my wingman is responding to my orders differently when I playback my tracks. For example, last night I played a campaign mission, finished it successfully. I decided to watch the track see if it would make a good movie. When I watched, a completely and utterly different outcome happened, because my wingman was actually acknowledging orders in the track the he refused to do in the real mission. :joystick: Anyone else notice this? i7-12700k, 32GB Ram, RTX 3060 12GB, TrackIR 5, Lots of SSD Space, etc etc DCS World - All the cool modules

Madman777 Posted July 16, 2010 Author Posted July 16, 2010 (edited) Yes Thanks Panzertard. That doesn't really explain why my wingman decides to obey commands in the replay, but not in the actual mission. The 'save track' button at the mission debriefing should record exactly what I just played. "If you are trying to record a track, try not to: - Make hard manouvers (turn / change direction). - Extreme / sudden rudder inputs - Extreme / sudden collective changes." This is not a good solution because if I want to load up a saved track with the purpose of viewing the mission I just played, it wouldn't work because I did some hard maneuvering? There should be a fix or something for this right? It makes watching recorded tracks useless. What is the point of recording a track then going back to watch it and it's not the track you recorded? EDIT - this happens on ALL of my saved tracks. The outcomes are all different Edited July 16, 2010 by Madman777 add something else i7-12700k, 32GB Ram, RTX 3060 12GB, TrackIR 5, Lots of SSD Space, etc etc DCS World - All the cool modules
Kunter7 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Hi guys Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I'm having this problem as well in BS2. Every track I save has a different outcome than what really happened. Very strange! Is there anyway to resolve this problem? Thanks!
Jona33 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 A track is just a record of your actions. I think problems come from it missing an action so it doesn't realize that you pulled up and you didn't crash into a cliff. I THINK. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
cichlidfan Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 That is pretty much it. To quote an old post of mine: It is actually a timed record of the actions and events (control movements, weapon launch, etc.) as they occurred. When you play a track, the actions/events are processed and their predicted outcome is displayed. It is a long standing issue. The less interaction you have with the program while watching a track, the better. enigma6584 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I really, really wish ED would fix the track playback issue. I've tried now for some time to make a neat little movie of my flights but to no avail because of the reasons initially stated by madman777. You can't do anything with those tracks. Want a good example of superb playback and video editing? Look at Rise of Flight's Flight Recorder. It is just beautiful to use...and it works. Okay, off my bitch session now.
cichlidfan Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 This is true. In ROF sudden control movements don't mess up tracks, although they do occasionally cause a wing to depart the aircraft.:D ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP!
