More than likely

DCS Blackshark is listed on the "good" compatibility list @ nvidia, so almost certainly A-10 will too. As long as the game designers play nice with DirectX, they don't need to do extra work for 3D to work, so most games will work.

No the real question is how much will it enhance the sim? In-cockpit effects should be impressive, but most exterior views will be so far away I wouldn't expect much of a difference between 3D and not... regardless... if I haven't bankrupted myself buying a HOTAS warthog, 3D will be next on the list!

I tried BlackShark with the red and blue glasses, the 3D effect is nice, when flying low the surrounding scenery gets alive, and when flying high you get 'somewhat' the sensation of being high.

Headaches and eye strain are common though, depends on the person.

Too much money right now to make it interesting with multiple monitors right now, so not my personal interest ATM.

I have done the same a couple of times as well, and was surprised how good it was. I had a great time flying low and slow through the city of Krosnudor, It gave a very good sense of your height above ground and buildings. Not good enough yet for real play but I could see the potential." To have a look just go into your Control panel Nvidia program and follow the steps for stereoscopic 3D, You need the blue red glasses". :pilotfly:

With all the talk about 3D atm it won't be long before its the next "Must have".

I cant believe they are still pushing red/green glasses. I had EDimensional shutter 3D glasses like 10 years ago and it worked pretty good although the downside was it slowed the games down for rendering everything twice back in those days that was a problem..

I have only done the red/blue and I think it adds to immersion. Like someone said, it's like your monitor turns into a window that you are looking through. More than that, the 3D vision gives your brain much more to work with than 2d. I find it is easier to land or perform complex manuvers in 3d due to the increased situational awareness. I don't fly with them often, but I found that using them for a few flights really helped refine my flying skills. It really gives you a better impression of sizes and distances, it almost felt more real in the HOTAS. The only problem with DCS: BS with 3D vision was the HMS, it flickers back and forth from left eye to right eye, so if you rely on HMS then 3D is very frustrating. Does the A-10 has any helmet mounted sight?
