BlackFin Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 hi all, Perhaps it is a well known question, but I couldn't find it on this forum. When I leave my hands off my Saitek x52pro joystick (so it returns in it's center position) the helicopter starts to turn. Not just a turn but rolling backwards and all this repeats until it crashes. I couldn't find the cause of it but I hope you can :helpsmilie: me.
Frazer Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Normally I would say, post a track so that the "problem" can be analyzed, but in this case: It is a helicopter, a helicopter flies untill you "leave your hands off the stick" (with auto hover in exception). So, don't leave your hands off the stick till you land and have the cyclic fully down. Forum | Videos | DCS:BS Demo1 / Demo2 | YouTube Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Nate--IRL-- Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 You will have to use trim for the Ka-50 to be stable with hands off the joystick. Even then you will have to trim again for any change in airspeed etc. Edit;- the Default Trim position is for Stable operation on the ground. Once airborne you will initially have to trim forward a bit to get a stable hover. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
