Razorback Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Hi, For your info, untill now, I am using two monitors for BS. The first one for the camear view (24'') and a second one for the shvalk (12''). I want to use a third one for the ABRIS view. My videocard (Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS) has only 2 outputs then I have to install a second videocard in order to add my third monitor. Could you help me to choose my second videocard, any suggestions ? I prefer to choose an Nvidia card for the compatibility... It's also hard to find a 10'' monitor for a reasonnable price... Any suggestions are welcome ! THX a lot Chris Belgium
astrospud Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Hi Razorback. I suggest finding and identical card to the 8800GTS. I don't think you can mix different types of video on the one PC. I could be wrong - techy guys might be able to help. This would be my suggestion to get extra screen output. Cheers Rectum non bustus
Gadroc Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 (edited) The cards don't have to be identical, but I would recommend sticking with the same chipsets vendor(nvidia) for the secondary card. Also verify that they would use the same driver version. For Nvidia you should be good with any 8xxx serious card or newer. In my previous test indicate you would want the main display and ABRIS on your primary video card and run the shovel with the secondary. Do some tests with which way has better FPS for you. Hi, THX for your answer. I will normally buy a Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 512 Mb because it's impossible to buy an other 8800 GTS
