I have been playing on the 104th - one question:

 

is the carrier spawn location server based or universal in MP?

 

it has happened numerous times already to me that i spawn a su33 and order an ordinance change. Unfortunately, whilst lined up on the launchway, another su33 will spawn. My plane then proceeds to do a hammer dance and next thing i know, i am on fire and being catapulted out to sea.

 

if we could spawn angle parked, wings folded and have to hit U for launch position would this not be better?

Yeah, but it isn't done that way. The best thing to do is to spawn go full burner for a split second and get out of the spawning area. Simply park the aircraft somewhere else on the deck (away from spawn and landing area) and set payload then.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Yes, what Grimes said. You can not do anything to help with the mission editor. You spawn in the same spot on the carrier regardless of mission.

 

Also, if you are trying to spawn on the carrier and immediately die because someone left debris, disconnect and reconnect so the debris will disappear.

Maybe ED could fix in a hot patch?? Mind you i don't think ED typically patches very often do they?

Really, I think ED's 100% focus is on A-10C so, don't expect any patches for FC2 anytime soon, maybe if ever. Of course, the plus side is that they release A-10C sooner and then, hopefully DCS:Fighter. These are only my observations, and I can't say any of this for sure.
