However, IIRC, I believe that for the AFM aircraft airflow through the engine can help extinguish a fire too. Whoops I thought this was the DCS forum, Disregard Below. That depends on whether the Auto Fire extinguisher has engaged. It might be an idea to read up on Emergency Fire procedures (pg 10-46 of the extended manual).
