CAT_101st Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Ok so I have a problem with the Mi-24. when seting it with guns only on a patrol at 200m target points are set to look for helos onely. I fly in in a A10 the Mi-24 will climb to 2000m to engag me and most times shoot me down befor I can locate him. and I dont get how the gunner can het me flying at 280K with his first burst and just keep hammering. And on that note I had my buddy fly in to the same mission in a Su-25T and the Mi24 never even looked at the Su-25T. Is the A-10 classified as a helo? I just don't get it. This sucks becaus I know no longer use the Mi24 in mission building. Grimes Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 The AI work in mysterious ways. I suppose the best way to test this out is to try different scenarios in order to discover when the AI spots you. First start head-on aspect, then try side, and again with rear. If he begins to maneuver to attack at the same distance every single time its safe to say they are likely pre programmed to defend themselves against A-10s no matter what you tell them to attack. Could also try putting the mission at night to see if they react the same. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
