arcade mission tracks

hi

 

i can mostly fly the shark now and use the ap and weapons quite well

 

now starting to think about tactics and turning off immortal mode

 

i am flying the QuickStart Arcade Mission again and again

does anybody have a TRK showing that mission executed well?

 

i still haven't found any impressive TRK files (except for frazer aeros)

 

where are the good TRK files? is there a trick to searching the forum for them?

You really, really, need to turn OFF immortal immediately. It is easy, when you don't know what the heck you are doing, to have a blade disk intersection (your counter-rotating rotors strike each other) and of course you crash. With immortal on, you will never learn how to avoid this, and learning how to not put your rotors together is a very basic and important part of flying.

 

As far as impressive track files, 1) Track files rarely work past 40 minutes into them at least in my experience. 2) Track files are often so big they cannot be uploaded here. I don't think I have a single "good" track file on my computer right now I can even upload; I think I am usually continuously flying for so long that all my track files are too big. Instead, what I CAN do is upload videos of my tracks to youtube, which I have done with one of them.

ok - immortal is going off tomorrow :-)

 

I am looking for a track file that shows off some interesting flying and efficient use of weapons etc.

 

somebody who knows what they are doing showing off for 15 minutes

 

stuff like: transition from high speed cruise to hover behind building (with no time wasted) and targets being rapidly dispatched and some hard but controlled tactical flying

immortal off certainly focuses the mind

i fly like a maniac but haven't managed to get rotor intersection yet

(i try to be a smooth maniac though)

Rotor intersection isnt hard to avoid. You really just have to be careful about putting in too much collective. If you drop your collective, you can do just about anything without worrying about blade collision.
