Has anyone tried anything like this yet? I've seen a few touchscreens been used but not an ipad I think

Yes I did. The touch screen didn't work with maxivista. I haven't tried other addons, but MFDs of Leavu2 didn't work on iPad/maxivista. So unfortunately the iPad is kind of useless for LOFC2.

ah thats a shame, would have made the ipad a bit more interesting.

 

Sorry didnt do a search, was just on my mobile at the time and my fat fingers keep missing the search button! :)

If you are interested there is an app called idisplay that let's you use your ipod (I'm not sure if ipad is supported yet but it probably is) And display something like LOVP or BSVP on there. The only catch was the frame rate was a little slow, but they may fix that in an update. I can confirm this worked using both LOVP and BSVP on iPod touch.
