do the weapons work on the su-25tm? Is it a model swap with the su-25T? (because when you enable the su-25tm in the meint, it will show up everywhere, even a loading photo, but once ingame it will disappear)

Copy the Su-25T cockpit shapes:

- kabina-su-25t.cmd

- kabina-su-25t-glass.lom

...and rename the copies to:

- kabina-su-39.cmd

- kabina-su-39-glass.lom

...and put them into the Bazar\world\shapes folder.

The reason why it "dissapears" is because you havent provided properly named cockpit files to load for it :)

The Su-25TM will work exactly as the Su-25T - same AFM, cockpit, TV, laser etc and can deploy the same weapons.

The problem is that the player controlled Su-25TM cannot deploy the radar guided weapons assigned to it - no radar routine for the AFM that it shares with the Su-25T.....so all you get is really an Su-25T "clone"

Mmmmn . . . . . interesting.

So you can clone the Su25T?

That would allow for the addition of a two-seater for training while keeping the Su25T - when we get Internet Instructor back, of course ;)

No you can enable the Su-25TM(Su-39) as flyable - like you could in V1.02. You can do this because the Su-25TM/Su-39(and MiG-29K) are defined as flyables in the lockon-exe and have seperately named cockpit shapes assigned to them.

Only difference from V1.02 is that in 1.1 the Su-39/Su-25TM uses a proper flight model - namely the AFM for the Su-25T. But the one aspect(the radar) which sets the Su-25TM apart from the Su-25T isnt working when making it flyable.....hence the "clone" bit :)

Well yes - but I think you missed the idea of my post.

The idea would be that you can do all the mods to the Su39 entry that you like, while keeping the Su25T the same.

Basically, you could enable the Su39 and mod it into an Su25UB with a Loman file. Skins, missions, loadouts, config file changes . . . . the AFM makes it perfect for use as a dedicated AFM trainer or 2-player A2G aircraft, without modding the Su25T at all.

Getting the gist? :)

Of course, that assumes that when Internet Instructor returns, it can be used on the Su39 entry . . . . . IIRC, the Su25 couldn't originally be used in LAN Instructor mode.

Wonder if someone could put in a word with the devs? ;)

No I got you gist :)

I just wanted to make sure that no one thinks it is possible make actual "clones" of the Su-25T entry, and what I meant using this term, was that the Su-25TM will appear(and fly) like a second Su-25T entry....no ability to deploy radar guided weapons(in fact they will be ejected from the aircraft when set to player control).

But for now we have neither a two-seat Su-25UB model nor internet trainer

code, so for the time being your gist is a little hypothetical.....but I like the idea of an AFM trainer :)
