deeelite Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 I just have purchased Lock On 1.1 via Web purchase. I have followed the installation instruction found on the forum—I uninstalled Lock On, deleted the Ubisoft\Eagle… folder, rebooted, and reinstalled Lock On. After reinstalling Lock On I installed the downloaded Lock On 1.1 setup file. The installation guide states that when I start the game by double-clicking the [Lock On 1.1] icon on the desktop the Starforce Activation dialog window should’ve popped up, but I get NOTHING. Running the game by double-clicking the Lock On 1.1 icon does NOT take me to the activation window; I run it, I hear my hard disk being read, then nothing. To co-operate in effort to solve this problem I will provide any information you need.
Nate Dogg Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Only thing i can think of is to start over. Uninstall lockon fully delete folders and such like you did, then defrag, reboot, install lockon from CD then imediately install FC1.1, then reset and launch FC. Give it a go, its the only thing i could think of doin. Im assuming you have the minimum system requierments? Cheers
deeelite Posted May 15, 2005 Author Posted May 15, 2005 I have done this (uninstall, reinstall, install FC) three times and still the same thing :(
Nate Dogg Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Wow thats sucks mate. Whats your systems specs just for the record? if it was me i would be tempted to re-format coz lockon is basically the only sim i use so if it aint working im not happy!
deeelite Posted May 15, 2005 Author Posted May 15, 2005 My system spec: Athlon64 3500+, asus a8v deluxe, Radeon X800 XT, adata pc4000x2, seagate 120g satax2=raid, seagate 160g eide x 3, LG combo ODD, logitech stick, logitech dinovo media desktop running win xp pro sp2 hmm i don't think putting up my spec will help solve the problem but i never know :(
Nate Dogg Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 I thought that if you were running a low end system it might have some bearing on it, but that not exactely what i call low end :-) could be a corrupt download, try downloading it again. Hopefully you have a fast connection. took me over 3hours to get it down! Also ensure your windows in fully up to date. I have no idea how starforce works or why it isn't working for you.
Orao Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Ok. When you lunch the Win XP open with Ctrl+Alt+del the task manager. Search for star force process. I have a CD version and my process is called CDAC11BA.exe Physicly the file is located in windows\driver directory. If a similar file isn't there it means that the star force protection isn't installed. You should try to download it again and istall all from scratch. Hope that this helps you.
