Performance Improvement for Nvidia Multi-GPU

Hi All,

 

As new games come, I find the nvidia drivers don't tell it to use BOTH GPUs, until driver support adds a profile for that game (I have gtx 295)

 

So I used this tool to fix it up and now get some better performance/fps.

 

Here's what to do:

1. Create an nvidia profile for dcs.exe

2. Run the tool and export

3. Open the text file

4. Find black shark profile in the text

5. Copy everything between profile and endprofile (not including profile/endprofile)

6. Find dcs.exe profile

7. Replace contents of dcs.exe profile

8. Import the text file with the tool

9. You now have an nvidia profile with multi-gpu enable for dcs.exe

It's also good to make backups, since sometimes nvidia loses all my profiles grr..

I have a GTX295 too and didn't consider this, but wouldn't Warthog already be using the Black Shark profile either way since both products start from an executable called dcs.exe? At least, that looks like the case on my system.

Blackshark starts up from launcher.exe and then goes into simulator.exe; I believe since the 1.0.2 compatibility patch for fc2. dcs.exe is relegated to a backup folder.

Ah, alright. I have a pre-existing dcs.exe profile, I assume it came with the driver as it can't be removed. I suppose the end result is the same as long as that profile is set to multi-GPU mode.

Yep all good as long as it says nvidia recommended (multi-gpu) in that setting.

 

I have the 258.96 drivers and they don't have a profile for dcs.exe, only simulator.exe which applies to both FC2 and DCS: ka-50
