Balu Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 Hi My problem is that my System give me a bluescreen or freeze when I want to start Flaming Cliffs. With Lock ON 1.0, 1.01 and 1.02 there hadn´t been any problems and the system works fine for many hours. Theese freezes appear while starting with Norton Antivirus and virtual drives for 90% and on the other 10% FC starts and works correct. If I disable Antivirus and the virtual drives mostly I can start FC, for 20% it freeze at the CD-check and I have to boot my system. And there is another problem. If the game is started and I leave it a through the exit-button and start it again direct or a few minutes later after exit the system will freeze again fo 100%. I know that ED has the right to protect his product but if it will prevent the owner of the game to play it with this shit copy-protection system that works only for the half of the people, ED has done a bad turn for himself. my System: P4 3.6GHz HT 800MHz 1024MB DDR2 Sapphire X800XT Asus P5AD2 Deluxe / Intel 925X Chipset NEC 3520A CD/DVD Windows XP Home SP2 Saitek X45
Han Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 I'm recomend you to keep Antivirus off while playing LockOn. With Best Regards! Daniel Tuseyev Il-2: Battle of Stalingrad and Rise Of Flight projects manager
Balu Posted May 16, 2005 Author Posted May 16, 2005 And what is with my other problems. Only disabling Antivirus the chance that my system freeze this still steady high and you can´t tell me that all programmers in the world can make their programms working with Antivirus but not ED, sorry. And the problem that the system freeze when starting FC, close the application according to the rules and start again ist still there. You can´t tell that this is a feature. with regards Balu
bflagg Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 betcha it's your vitural drives.... uninstall them and try again. Thanks, Brett
Balu Posted May 16, 2005 Author Posted May 16, 2005 I´ve disabled the virtual drivers but the result ist not that my FC will start for 100% and if I leave the game about the exit-button and enter it again the system freeze and that works for 100%. Such a behaviour I only expect for banana software, that means software ripens at the customer. with regards Balu
Orao Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 Try uninstalling softwares which you use to create virtual driveres. I have a cd version and I have no problem at all playing. Only thing was that my RW wasn't compatible with CD so I had to use my DVD to install FC.
