Ok so I have a targeting pod and an AGM-65D equipped. I will find the target with my TGP, make it POINT, and then switch to my maverick, hold down V (which I thought would automatically slew my maverick to the POINT that I assigned with my TGP). It locks it onto the current steerpoint...what gives? I want it to lock onto the POINT I made with my TGP, not the steerpoint. What am I doing wrong? Hopefully this question helps others that are having the same problem. It is most likely just a stupid mistake on my end, sorry about that in advance.

Once you've got your TGP in point mode over your target, you need to make it you sensor point of interet (SPI) before you can slave anything else to that pont. Sounds like you're using the keyboard so thats lctrl up long. then you can switch to your mav and slave to it with v long.

Sounds like you are pressing China hat aft long, this slews TGP to current steer point. You need to press china hat FWD long. I think this is covered many time on " Using the AGM-65 Maverick " thread. Hope this helps :joystick:

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

This is somewhat related and I can't find it posted anywhere. With the TGP off, if you press China hat switch aft long the pod responds.

While flying turn TGP off, then press, China hat switch aft long, watch pod move.

Also tried the same on the ground. With IFFCC on or on test. CDU on and EGI on. The moment EGI get nav info from DTC you can press China hat switch aft long and the pod will move. Could someone try to duplicate this?

Just tried that on the first instant action, happens just like you said. And since the manual say that switch gives power to the TGP, very strange.

Doesn't the relative training mission cover this?

I was trying to duplicate what I think is a bug, related to original post but not the same thing
