zoranin Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I have problem how to maintain constant altitude in hover, always goes up or down, slow but I use collective lever every few minutes for correcting.Of course that I m in auto hold mode when hovering.
KillaALF Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Have you tried setting an altitude via the collective brake lever yet? If you leave the collective alone after doing so, the Shark should stay at the set height.
power5 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Make sure the the altitude switch thingy on the right panel is in the down position. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Aaron i7 2600k@4.4ghz, GTX1060-6gb, 16gb DDR3, T16000m, Track IR5 BS2-A10C-UH1-FC3-M2000-F18C-A4E-F14B-BF109
Dejjvid Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Make sure you use radar alt, switch on right lower panel. Press 'F' once you enable hover mode, and it will hold that altitude. You can check the ADI, on the right side is an orange arrow. When it's in the middle of the scale, it's on the correct altitude. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
Tango Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Another option is to set up for auto-hover, then disengage the altitude channel. You will then have manual control of the vertical speed via the collective. Make small inputs though otherwise you'll upset the rest of the autopilot system. I find it works great when I'm loitering for extended periods. Best regards, Tango.

Dejjvid Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Yes, and you must set Radar/Barometric switch to radar if you are below 300m, or baro if you are above. It's located to the right of ALT/PITCH/BANK/ALT channel buttons. It's a small switch, keep it in the down position (radar alt). Then 'F' works. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
