DaHunn Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I wanted to do the engine start-up mission to familiarize my self with the start-up procedure. Somewhere in the middle of the mission i had to switch the bety warning system, just after starting both engines. The knob is located just under the throttle. The button seemed to do nothing? and the mission did not progres, since it was waiting for the button to be switched. Did any body else noticed this? And in the same mission, there is a truck parked extreemly close to my plane, so close that his windshield is going through my right wing flap.
=Panther= Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Q: I cannot switch on the EAC. Instead some switch on the emergency panel moves. This prevents me from completing the Start-Up training mission. A: This is a known issue. The Hog will fly without it. A temporarily modified version of the start-up lesson that skips this switch can be downloaded here: http://www.mediafire.com/?e59pwepzzk17a8c Repace your original file with the modified version in the dir: \DCS A-10C Beta\Training\en\Aircraft Operation\1 Twitch Channel [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Thunderbirds, LLC | Sponsored by Thrustmaster Z390 Aorus Xtreme, i9 9900k, G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB, 1080ti 11GB, Obutto R3Volution, Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, TPR, Cougar MFDs, FSSB R3L, JetSeat, Oculus Rift S, Buddy-Fox A-10C UFC, F/A-18C UFC, Tek Creations F-16 ICP
kylania Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) You can also map a key to EAC Start and wait for the next beta version to fix the switch. Or start on the runway/in the air. :) Edited October 21, 2010 by kylania Oops, misread the file. Fopeyducker Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 That's what I did, the E key doesn't appear to be used for anything which is handy as it makes it easy to remember. E=EAC on, Shift-E=EAC off :) --------------- MSI GD65 Gaming | i7 4770k Haswell @ 4.7ghz, | H110 water cooler | 32Gb ddr3 | Sound Blaster Zx | MSI GTX 1080Ti | 1x 250Gb SSD's + 2x 500Gb SSD | Acer Predator 34" (3440x1440) | TrackiR 5 + UTC Light | Win 10 Pro 64bit | 2x Thrustmaster MFD's | MFG Crosswinds (ordered) | Thrustmaster Warthog :smartass: --------------------
pinkBrood Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 The startup training mission goes along if you press the ENT button on the UFC (upfront controller) once its done with its BIT (built in test)
